Review by hotel critic
As a frequent traveler and marathon runner, I value boutique hotels that cater to my active lifestyle. the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge exceeded my expectations with its charming historic decor and enthusiastic staff. Staying here felt like stepping back in time, with cozy fireplaces and a front porch perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the Berkshires. We were welcomed with warm hospitality and a delicious breakfast that fueled us for a day of outdoor adventures in the Berkshires. the inn's close proximity to Balderdash Cellars allowed us to savor high-end wines while listening to tales from the locals. The Red Lion Inn's Main Dining Room offered a delightful culinary experience, from hearty sandwiches to fine French cuisine. After a day of hiking at Mount Greylock, returning to the inn for a savory meal was a true highlight. the inn's central location also made it easy to explore nearby attractions like the Berkshire Botanical Gardens and Tanglewood for a rich cultural experience. Whether traveling solo for business or with a companion for leisure, this charming gem in the Berkshires is a must-visit for those seeking a unique and memorable escape. I can't wait to return and create more special memories with friends and loved ones in this picturesque setting.
